    Requirements:

  • Experience with some dialect of Lisp (Common Lisp, Emacs Lisp, Clojure),
  • Experience with an imperative programming language such as Java or C#
  • Experience in the design and architecture of large, enterprise software,
  • Able to work as a member of a team,
  • Professional experience developing database (SQL) driven applications,
  • Comfortable with Apache, Open Source tools and a Linux development environment,
  • Great communication skills - written and verbal,
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, GIT, emacs, and Ant a plus.

    Put your expertise to use harnessing the front end of an enterprise application

    We are a well-established, stable Lakeview ISV that develops and sells an enterprise product for scheduling and inventory management. We seek a full-time, onsite Front End development expert to corral and tame the front end of our application as we migrate it from a hornet's nest of HTML and CSS to an AngularJS front-end. The candidate must have experience with CSS and at least one modern front-end framework. More importantly, the candidate must be able to assess the present state of the UI, create a plan to for the front-end, and lead us to that end.

    Seeking Technical Support Person

    onShore Development is a fourteen person Lakeview-based ISV that creates and supports WebCheckout, an enterprise level scheduling and resource management application used primarily in Higher Education administration. We seek an on-site Technical Support person to provide telephone, email, and application manipulation assistance (installation, upgrades, imports, etc) to WebCheckout customers. The applicant needs to possess a combination of technical as well as people skills, both verbal and in writing.

    The position requires strong expertise with Linux, Apache, PostgreSQL specifically and Open Source tools in general. Proficiency with SQL is important. Scripting knowledge is a plus. 


    Initial responsibilities include:

  • Being physically present at our Lakeview office from 9-5 M-F
  • Responding to technical support phone calls and email
  • Assisting in the assessment and solution of users' problems
  • Installing and configuring our software
  • Gathering forensic data to qualify bugs in the software

    Part-time Bookkeeper/Admin Assistant Needed

    Small software company in need of a part-time bookkeeper/admin assistant to work in our Lakeview office. Approximately 20 hours per week to start but could grow into a full-time position. Schedule can be flexible but needs to be consistent each week. At least 1 year previous experience in bookkeeping a must (Quickbooks online preferred).

    Responsibilities include:

  • Accounts Receivable collections (clients are mostly colleges and universities)
  • Maintaining licensing information about clients
  • Reconciling invoices with customer data
